Hey fellas! This is my first datapack that adds in the sword blocking ability that i have adjusted to match the 1.8/shield. The new snapshot makes this a bilion times easier for me! I know plenty of people have done this but this is for the people who don't know how to code!

CREATIVE CHEATS

/function blocking:giveblockingsworddiamond (For diamond sword)
/function blocking:giveblockingswordwooden (For wooden sword)
/function blocking:giveblockingswordiron (For Iron sword)
/function blocking:giveblockingswordnetherite (For Netherite sword)
/function blokcing:giveblockingswordgolden (For Golden sword)


It works for every sword that is crafted, and it works with the commands above!

Added in every other sword and nerfed/buff its durability consumption and reducer (Depends on the sword type, so wooden wouldn't block as much health and will use more durability each block!)

how to install it to minecraft? i put it as a datapack and its not showing up

You need to extract the file! It should be the file name, then the datapack files, not the file name twice or else i can't read it.
