My (current) most popular command block creation is now a datapack! Yay?
The Darkness boss can be summoned by dropping 1 Nether Star on a Black Concrete, and drops The Darkness Blade. The Darkness Blade works just like a netherite sword, except if there isn't a mob in hitting distance, you can right-click to give any nearby mob the Wither effect.
Attacks:
Melee Attack - It hits you. Its not that complicated.
Blindness Aura - You get the blindness effect if you get too close to it.
Skull Drop - It starts raining Wither Skulls on you if you get too far from the boss.
Minion Summon - It summons in vexes. I would try to sugarcoat it, but that's basically it.
