Torch Plentiful

  1. Replenishes torches in offhand (when there are torches in inventory but only 1 in offhand)
  2. Auto places a torch when its dark (light level <8) (before 1.18) toggled on-off with /trigger torch
  3. Auto places a torch when its dark (light level =0) (since1.18)  toggled on-off with /trigger torch
  4. works in multiplayer (respects that spectator and adventure players cant place it)
  5. also works with "soul_torch"
Note: Torch Auto placing always tries to place on your right if it fails tries on the ground,

Requires:
  1. fafik77 main.Lib(Google Drive) datapack (core), min: v2022-04-30
  2. ResourcePack Language pack this pack contains every name,lore,texture for my datapacks
Instalation:
  1. put the above required files in place
  2. put this zipped file in datapacks
  3. running game will need /reload

It would work with 1.19, but it places only if in caves, if I'm doing things at my base (y 64) then it barely place any torch

Hey, just wanted to say I love this data pack!



Just a note to others though is I actually had to use

/function #fafik77:fafik77_main/load



before the datapack would show anything.


Once again, big fan of this mod!

Also, one question. Is there any way to make the torches auto place on the ground only?

i am glad to hear you like it

you should not have to start the datapack yourself .. were you playing in version affected by this bug https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-186478

Is there any way to make the torches auto place on the ground only? -- if you want in game option there is none except not having a wall by your side, if you really want to you can edit a file "Torch Plentiful/data/fafik77/functions/torch_plentiful/placer/place_check" and comment the first 5 executed lines (which leaves only the ground torch)

if you have installed this pack and Required packs it is as simple as:
1 hold torch in your off hand
2 run command /trigger torch to toggle on/off auto torch placing
3 when you are in a dark area it will auto place a torch

Honestly, I'm not positive.

It was from my 1.16 realm where the problem occurred but I still had to enable it myself even on the single player world. Wasn't much of a problem for me though.

Hello, I was testing the datapack in version 1.15.2 but the Auto place with torches did not work for me, after testing on the 1.16-pre7 the Auto place only worked with the soul_torch, why does this happen? I hope you know how to answer my doubt. Excuse the wording, I&#39;m using a translator.
