Overview
The interchangeable smithing pack allows you to change the tier of your tools and armor using the appropriate item in the smithing table while retaining enchantments and nbt data. While as of now smithing recipes are unaffected by doLimitedCrafting, and have no recipe book tab, I included recipe unlock events to future proof the datapack.Info
It contains very few load functions that are only there for version control. It installs one scoreboard to track it's things, the uninstaller utility takes care of it all. On first load of the pack you should see a confirmation message reassuring you that the pack has been installed successfully. Before removing the pack from the game, you can run the /function zt-ims:.remove command to delete all remains of the pack.Effects on gameplay
While this pack could seem like a minor tweak, it considerably lowers the amount of effort required for a full diamond gear. Now instead of the usual 35 diamonds required for a full gear with all tools now you only need 9 and all your previous enchantments you find on loot can now be upgraded with it greatly decreasing the importance of trading halls, xp farms and large diamond branch mines.Materials for each tier
I've tried to make the items required for the tier levels pretty straight-forward, I'll list them here:- Wooden tier - All non-stripped logs (Including crimson and warped ones)
- Stone tier - Cobblestone and blackstone
- Leather tier - Single leather
- Iron tier - Iron ingot
- Gold tier - Gold ingot
- Diamond tier - Single diamond
- Netherite tier - Netherite ingot
- Turtle helmet - Single scute
