Backstory
After playing final fantasy 8 and watching a vocaloid vid just now I came up with this so uh hum *gets into backstory voice.*
Many years ago there were people born that had powerful magic. They became elders and mages of communities and were well respected. However they did not live long, there were those that wished to take the magic from them and killed them to do so. Following a meeting of many elders it was decided that they needed something to protect them and they made a choice. They would choose their most trusted friends or family or both and give them the ability to change into a powerful form. This form would be around an animal or monster, it would grant them much strength and the power needed to keep their charge safe. That is the other part of the spell, when they became the guardian force they become bound to their charge, if their charge is far away they are weakened, if they are harmed so are they, their emotions, feelings and maybe thoughts are connected between the two. If the charge should die the guardian will enter a slumber until they are awakened, by either a new charge or someone they love.
The ones after the mages are the hungered. They feast on magic and will do anything for it. The Hungered were born the same time as magic, they have a monstrous form that they can enter to use all their powers.
The Secret Police, they fight both sides in this war. They do not posses magic as they are fully human, they do however have a large network of spies and money.

Appearance: Ever read eragon. Think of Him.
Backstory: Er... Um... Maybe... Fine
Dahg was a guardian force from the time he was 7, But strangely, He didn't have a creature form, He instead just put on a mask that gave him enhanced magic powers, And it only worked for him. He hasn't exactly mastered a sword or anything like a knight would, But he was amazing with guns and rocket launchers. He was 4 four star general for something ya know. He had the ability to operate a tank like no other. He could snipe a pigeon from 20 miles away.

He was expected to be a very good guardian and does his best to live up to the expectations he has been given.
