It'd make no sense if he wasn't having a nosebleed. I mean, it's Sanji. The way that Oda used it to make it a proper event rather than a simple gag, imo, is genius.

Btw, Fishman Island (and Punk Hazard in some places) has pretty awful pacing. Just thought I'd prepare you for that.

pretty sure the marines feel that the worst generation is much more of a threat than a retired pirate. The worst generation are currently causing havoc whereas Rayleigh is living peacefully. No-one even knows that he trained Luffy.

It'd be much more plausible for the marines to chase weaker pirates that are currently causing havoc than chase one of the strongest pirates in the world that is currently living peacefully.

Kizaru was sent to Saboady due to Luffy punching the Celestial Dragon - not because Rayleigh was there. I dunno how much the 11 supernovae effected the enforcements sent there, but they certainly weren't expecting to fight Rayleigh. Sure, Kizaru is strong - as is Sentomaru and the pacifistas, but they're nothing compared to Roger's first mate. Rayleigh easily fought off Kizaru on his own. I imagine that, if he wanted to, he could beat him nearly instantly.

The straw hat is kinda a weird plot hole, but it can be understood. We learned that Shanks - a cabin boy with Buggy - was given Roger's hat before he died and, I assume, before he underwent the change to look like this:
From what I can remember it's just a theory, but Roger gave his hat to Shanks as he believed he was gonna be a great pirate one day. Now, in present day, he's one of the yonko. I imagine either Roger told him to pass it onto another future great pirate of the next generation or Shanks just felt obliged to. He then handed his hat to Luffy as a child as (I THINK) Luffy said the same words that Roger had said (can't remember the words). This made Shanks believe that Luffy will become a great pirate - hence him giving it to him and telling him to return it to him when he becomes a great pirate.

To see why Luffy didn't learn about the void century from Rayleigh, you have to take into account why all of the Strawhat crew are pirates.
Luffy wants adventure and to become the king of the pirates
Zoro wants to become the greatest swordsman
Nami wants to make a map of the world
Ussop (I think) wants to live up to his dad - Yassop
Sanji wants to see All-Blue
Chopper wants to cure every disease
Robin wants to discover the truth about the void century
Franky wants his ship to hold the pirate king - like Tom
Brook wants to meet up with Laboon
Luffy's main reason is nothing to do with the void century. Luffy, in his simple nature, probably doesn't even care about it. Even if he did, Rayleigh wouldn't have told him. Remember in Saboady when Ussop asked where One Piece was? That's what'll happen to Luffy. I imagine Rayleigh wants the Strawhat crew to have an adventure and deserve to learn what happened in the void century. We have no idea what happened in the void century apart from a few clues, so I'm unsure if this is the only factor. I imagine something happened when Robin went to train with the revolutionaries for 2 years, but I dunno how much they know/told her. For now, I just want her to be friends with Sabo and Koala DD

To sum up, the fact that everything is linked to the biggest event is probably due to what *exactly* One Piece is and/or what Raftel holds. I guess we're gonna have to wait 10+ years to find out, though.

I've seen a lot of fan theories about the ponyglyphs, etc.on /r/onepiece and they got me really intrigued. I really like how it links in to One Piece and how, even though it is the title of the show, we aren't if sure exactly what it is. There're a lot of theories that say it is something to do with Raftel/the void century and it's not actually a physical item. I have no idea how as the idea hasn't really been elaborated on at all, but the Will of the D links in with it, too.

I imagine once Dressrosa is wrapped up there'll be more discussion about it as Sabo/Koala are there and Robin was already with the revolutionaries for 2 years. I highly doubt Luffy'll meet Dragon yet. There's still another 600+ chapters that Oda has planned.

We haven't seen any of him since Return to Sabaody, so it's safe to assume that he still has no personality.

Get used to OP-ness. Fishman Island arc is kinda like Water 7 in the fact that it is basically an arc to show new powers. The enemies are rather disappointing, but it's a nice arc to show their new powers and OPness.

Afaik he's still 'alive'. In the newest ep, it went over the 7 warlords and he was still mentioned. I suppose he is entirely machine now, but PX-01 still exists and is alive
