You don't even need to have [texture]_mer.png/tgn or [texture]_normal.png/tgn images. When you load into the RTX Beta(with an RTX card) it will just look like glossy flat blocks.
Well if you already have normal maps you just need to rename them from _n.png to _normal.[png or tgn]
The Textures never changed names from the old format so for example -> tallgrass.png instead of grass.png, log_spruce.png instead of spruce_log.png.
To enable RTX features:
(before that if you need two unique uuid's for your texture pack get them at uuidgenerator.net)
You want to already have a textures folder, a pack.png, and a manifest.json.
before you replace your manifest.json with this one
www.mediafire.com/file/d8hxqpj2iva27uq/manifest.json/file
Just change the description, name, and uuid to your own unique ones.(with a program like notepad ++)

In no way is it better or worse Than using SEUS PT
PT has water, wetness, and weather effects. It doesn't have full rtx but a combination of rasterization and area rtx reflections
RTX has full rtx but no wetness, flat water, or weather effects or darkening cloud weather(yet)
