I want to make a minecraft map, like a ctm map. Knowing minecraft, to build all those areas and have thick walls. placing that block by block would take forever! I want to know how map maker make stuff like that but in like a few months

World Painter: Used to create the base terrain.

MCEdit: Used to make large shapes/buildings and make large scale copy pastes.

VoxelSniper: Plugin for bukkit that is basically similar to World Painter, but its in-game so its a ton easier to use and shape the terrain according to how you want it.

WorldEdit: Used for in-game copy pastes and if you dont want to use MCEdit.

Ok so if you want to create the actual landscape, you need to use a program like worldpainter so it actually looks good and realistic. Then if you want to make large buildings in game you can use world edit or mcedit
