Superflat or Default for adventure map?
I will need this for future reference when I will make a future adventure map.
My past adventure maps have always been in... the void... or pseudovoid... you know what I mean... Abstract realm or some sort... either that or the setting is indoor... this is true even for maps I made that I didn't publish.
I'm just wondering... when making an outdoor adventure map, is it better to start with a superflat world and modify the terrains later, or start with a default world and find a suitable place for your map...
Or is there even another method that I don't know?
P.S.: I've got MCEdit... but I dunno how to make a good terrain effectively... any tips or tutorial will be highly appreciated.

Is this thread THIS boring or what...?
I recommend world painter. You can make amazing terrain with it.
Depends on how big the outdoor map might be, if its going to be quite big, use world painter. If its going to be a bit small, use default.
World painter huh? Dunno anything about it but will definitely try it out.
Well if u r doing superflat u can use world edit to make giant balls of blocks mountains. so , if u have World edit, do superflat. otherwise, do default
Is world edit the same as MCEdit?
no
Nope. Word edit is a mod/plugin for your mc. It allows you to do stuff quickly in game like make giant walls or spheres or ather shapes and stuff
That's cool... MCEdit is kinda slow...
But I think I will use World Painter from now on when it comes to building the terrain for adventure maps... It's awesome... never thought I could make a big map with (kinda) natural terrain so easily and quickly...
Though I think I will still use MCEdit to modify existing world.

Yep. from experience world painter is great for making terrain.
I would use Superflat, it gives you more freedom with commands and Building..just my opinion :)
Depends, a custom terrain is always going to be a + in my opinion. This could be done with worldpainter (most easy option) or with worldmachine (bit harder to use).
Yet as also said, superflat gives you the possibility to have all the space you want, but you have to make the terrain (if used) with hand or with worldedit.
Try out a couple of things and find your way in it.
