Black and purple texture
So I'm a noob at texturing, made a few models for weapons and stuff, but I was wondering if I have to use minecrafts default textures because if I dont, I just get that black and purple texture. so basically what Im asking is how to create a model but not with minecrafts textures

The black and purple texture means that Minecraft cannot locate the texture file. Make sure it is in the right directory and is properly named, and if it is not just a retexture, ensure that the behavior pack associated with it is working.
