HEY GUYS! I'm working on a Redstone Rubik's Cube, and I have no idea what I'm doing! I was wondering if you have any way to make the pieces rotate like they do on my cube? Maybe something with the new snapshot for the Redstone update. Thanks!

Sounds like an awesome idea, if someone can make it work.

Could you move the blocks by retracting them inside the cube with sticky pistons?

With redstone you NEVER will make things rotate! But, i know a MOD who makes it!

You don't need to make it "rotate" par-say, but rather retract and push to another side

That would... be really tough... and probably be huge. You'd probably use wool facets instead of say, a 3x3 red wool block for each cube's block.

Tough...

I don't think it would be possible.

Moving the tiles without pistons showing would never work.

Command blocks?

Command blocks wouldn't do much. It is possible, but if you want a perfect cube of color (basically something looking like a rubix cube), it won't be possible. You need something to cover up the pistons at each edge.

You can't make the pieces rotate unless you have pistons showing. I'm really good with redstone. I'll try to create a rubix cube, but it probably won't look like a cube. It will look more like a cube with emphasized angles (more blocks on where each side meets).

PM if you want to continue the idea.
