How do I make zombie skin like slime skin?

When I was editing slime skin I noticed that the skin has multiple layers. Can I make more layer on other skin like slime? Or is it even possible?

You could try to immitate the effect
First layer is the core, the second is the jello coat

It's actualy realy simple, if you see in other mobs too or in skins there are 2 layers. For mobs/skins that have the same pixels as a player you can edit them on a website (I would recomend skindex).
