Need some assistance with a skin.

I'm having trouble giving the level of detail i want for a skin i am going to use for an RP. I want it to be good quality, and i want it to fit my character well. This is what i have so far, but its just not right in my eyes.
Any suggestions? I would appreciate input, and if someone thinks they could work with me to make the skin better, i would really be thankful.

The skin is drawn well, but most of the shading is a bit too subtle if you ask me. Makes the it all look kind of dull/messy.
I suggest reading a few color tutorials such as this one (http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/1000-subscriber-special-color-theory-101-hue-shifting-palettes-and-stuff/)
and then drawing up a palette for the skin, then recoloring it with the colors in that.

Thanks for all the input guys, it really helps. Im working on the blue saturation, hopefully that will make it better. The blue is supposed to be the cloth underneath the armor pieces.

The blue is just like, bang. Pop's out of no where. Like Nice7 said, lower the saturation and make a good shade of blue, not one that stands out so much from the whole skin. The face and hair shadings are almost invisible. Other than all that, its awesome!

Well, maybe make the blue not so...blue. Like, lower the saturation a bit and tweak it make a good shade of blue. Also, just play around with it. Experiment new things, try colour variations. If you do, you will find the skin you like.
