NothingUltimate, I think that skin you made is better than those of your brother.

Rayner, I think you're right. I beliieve that over-shading is always better than under-shading because even if the original character it was based on has flat colours, it's not going to stand out. And while your shading may be more visible in-game (I have no reason to doubt this), you're going to want to make it look good on PMC if you want diamonds and downloads.
Having said that, your shading style - while a little flat - is good, and I'd like to see how some of your future skins turn out.

Yuki - I really like your tutorial. It's a different method of shading.

ROPROPE, You're almost there. If you just shaded the face and hands, it would be a really nice skin.

well clearly Im not a new skinner but for those who would like help with shading I have made a tutorial which can be found here: http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/yuk ... -250-subs/

I tried properly shading for the first time and my result was;

Only problem is that I did the shading way too light, and you can barely see it in the previewer. It's fairly visible in-game though. I plan to make skins down the track using a similar shading method but darker shades.

Wouldn't mind some feedback, either.

But My shading is blocky.... :/
