Opinion On My Skins
Hey, I'm going to keep it short. Can you give me your opinion on the skins in this collection? These are the ones I consider to be higher quality than my older ones. Feel free to mention specific ones and provide your feedback in the comments. Criticize, but don't be rude about it, please. I've got an improvement poll down below. I'd appreciate if you vote on it. Thanks.

All your skins look nice & all, but one thing you're missing is the shading. Many shading styles exist, but the one I hate the most is the crisp shading style. It's basically when you try to mix multiple colors & shades with each other at every corner of the skin, that at the end the skin could be bright from one side, but have a totally different hue, or shade on the other. I don't think it's bad when it's done nicely, but sometimes when it's over done the product looks either deep fried, or noisy. I think the way to fix this is to try blending some colors at first & checking if they'll match.

I think you shade good, you can improve on your skin ideas

They're cute! But I'd suggest hue shifting practice. :)

I think they are awsome!

The skins are great overall, but personally the shading seems a bit overboard to me, idk just mainly a personal thing, I can see how another person can love it but it seems a bit overdone. They are still great skins though!

they look good
on a side note i can't find colors for palettes or shade at all any tips?

I usually just go from darker to light as I shade, but don't make a continuously repeating pattern or else it look unnatural.

A little off topic but what's hue shifting?
3
Hue shifting is a commonly used method involving colors in skins. As you change the lightness of a skin, you change the colors as well. Some people can even do it without changing the lightness...

That sounds hard

Hue shift is that thing you kinda did with beautiful bear

I love all of your skins <3333

Change nothing they are all good

I don’t think they really need any improvement. I prefer old shading styles, which you seem to be using in my opinion..

cool I guess

I like them.

No offence but I think the skins are kinda well, dorky.

Smh, is my hue shifting really that bad? Well, guess that's where I'll start...
3
it's not bad, i just think it's something that can be worked on
it's hard to notice any hue shifting in most of your hairs particularly, i used to do the same thing and still do sometimes, maybe try changing the hue a bit more with each shade until you find what looks right
it could also be the low saturation in your highlights giving that look, but i'm not quite sure, imaginaryreload offered advice on that though
i think you did it really well with your sun dried tomato farmer skin (that skin is freaking adorable by the way oh my goodness) and big oof skin but they're both really saturated compared to natural hair colors, it's a lot easier to see on the more saturated ones, if you do the same hue shifting techniques throughout all your skins it might be too subtle in some
it's 2 am so i have no clue if i worded this right shfisjf
also keep in mind that as an artist you're going to find yourself being unnecessarily hard on yourself, either comparing your work to others or criticizing yourself for not being able to make exactly what was in your head when you started, or your anxiety's finding some other way to be a meanie and mess with your self esteem
so every now and again pull up one of your recent skins you like and dig through and find an older skin and look at your progress, how far you've come, and be proud. you're already a good skinner, and it only goes uphill from here
ALSO *hug!*

It's not bad, it's just the least amazing :D

The one flaw that i see with your skins is when you go for a lighter colour, it seems like the saturation is considerably lessened.
I also feel like you could work on your hue shifting and the use of overlay.
Don't get me wrong, i love your skins. I could probably help you with some of these things if you DM me.

I'm not sure what to say. They're amazing! Certainly better than anything I've ever done or ever will do.
