Music often really helps me with inspiration! If I find a good song that I’m really into, often I’ll make a skin that tries to capture either the same themes or tones that the song has.

Try something you never did. Maybe new city, new friends, new food, new music, new game. It will change you and give a source for ideas.

When I'm making skins, I like to find an image or theme, then find a colour palette to go with, and by then I usually have an image of what I'd be going for in my head. For instance, when I made Green Tea, you might be able to picture that process? I'm not sure if that's just standard proceedings, but you can get creative with it! Sometimes googling images of scenery can be fun to picture the character that would go there, or looking up colour palettes and seeing what you can make with them? I hope I'm not telling you stuff you already do, and I hope you find inspiration soon!

At least I'm not the only one with this problem. That said, there's a difference between us, and that is that I'm terrible at making skins. I've made just one and I think it's pretty bad. I'd fix that, but again, I have the same problem.



As for the vote, I'd say video game characters (but that's just my love of video games talking because I like them a little too much)
