I am very new to making Minecraft skins. I was wondering if there were any resources that could help me learn how to make better skins: YouTube channels, websites, books, e.t.c.

I'm sure there are good sites, and (maybe) books out there that could help, but I mostly stick to this site so I couldn't tell you.
However, there is a group on this site that teaches Hive style: here. Which is a good place to start, and I believe they have a YouTube channel.
If you're not interested in that, a good way to learn is to just look at what other people do. Just subscribe to any good skinner you find on here, or look through others' content!
And third, I think if you just put "Skinning Tutorial" in the PMC search bar, you should find some helpful blogs.
Of course, all of that is on this website, because I don't really wander much. Hope this helped!
