What's everyone using for MC 1.8 skins?
Hi, I'm extremely excited for the 1.8 update, mostly for the new skin layouts. I want to start messing around with them pronto, but I don't know what program to use. I have two questions to ask about skinning.
-I love MCSkin3D, has that updated/will it update soon?
-What programs do you guys use? (please only answer if it has the new update's feature)
Thank you very much or reading and/or answering the questions I have, have yourself a wonderful day.
Also, sorry if this is already a thread, haven't been too active on PMC >,<

To be honest, I hate the way the new skins are.

Why the hell do you hate the new skins? So your saying that you hate the fact that we can put armor on yourself? We can create jackets now, don't say things that you don't even know is good or not?

http://www.minecraftskinconverter.com to convert my skin to the 64x64 format, then MCSkin3D to edit my skin.

I was curious too. Anyone have templates?

Mcskin3D has a 1.8 template

I use GIMP.

MCSkin3D is updated to 1.8, but to make a 1.8 skin, you need to change the model. In the top right where it says human, click it, click mobs, then passive, then find Human (1.8) in the menu.

I can tell you don't use mac... But for those who do:
The only thing I can find, is to edit your skins in GIMP and constantly export, upload, and test them in-game.

actually, just download the free version of Pixen. 1000 times easier, and is also great for making texture packs!

I've tried installing the latest version (both from PMC and MCF) and neither of them seem to be 1.8. They are exactly like the previous version.

If you load a 64x64 skin, it will automatically set itself to the Human 1.8 model if it doesn't have a Model tag already in the png. Otherwise, you have to switch it to Human 1.8 by hand as said above.

I use Paint.net a free version of photoshop, and much better than paint to edit my skins, and I use the MC skin viewer to see them, unfortunaly it isn't updated to 1.8 skins.
I tried playing with the new skins and the new layers just don't work how many template say they should.
