What skinning program do you use for the new 1.8 update?

I continue to just use the editor to make my skins on The Skindex but it gets hard to keep making my skin over the default beginning skin for the editor and i get frustrated and end up just trashing the skin i was working on because its just a huge headache.

Any free and easy programs i could use?

Photoshop is easily the best picture editing software around, and it's much smoother than things like MCSkin3D, or Paint.net. You do need to learn what things look like after they go together, which is a learned skill, and understanding how the skin net goes together is pretty easy.

It's better if you use MCSkin3D, Novaskin or any other skin editing program that can show you the different parts of the skin texture and its usages.
