So with one of Minecraft's updates came the ability for resource packs to change the names of things. I'm surprised I haven't seen something like this already. The New World pack would be a complete overhaul of the look of Minecraft by taking advantage of the renaming thing. Turn the world not into some medieval world or futuristic, but instead into a world similar to the world of Minecraft, but different.
Kinda difficult to explain, but I hope I got the point across.

Perhaps my knowledge of when resource packs were introduced instead of texture packs is a bit lacking. Either way, you've been able to change the names of things long enough for me to be surprised that I haven't seen this idea done yet.

How has renaming changed in the new update?
As far as I know you have to rename it for every language separately (that's work and not easy).

Sounds pretty cool.

Sorta, yeah. Just kinda make Minecraft feel a bit new again for long-time players without the need for mods.

You've been able to rename it all for a while. It's trying to rename it all in different languages that's got me stuck. I like the idea of the New World pack (if I've got the idea right!), a sort of default 2.0 version?
