I want to make a TexturePack
Hello. I want to make a Texture Pack for 1.6.2. I've got paint.net, GIMP, and photoshop. But the problem is this: I don't know where is the minecraft.jar located... Since 1.6 appeard, the minecraft folder changed complety. Can you tell me please, where do I find the default texture pack?

I'm not very good at explaining this stuff and plus its really hard to explain in a post because it is all text. (unless you post pictures) What I would do (you should probably do the same) is go on youtube and search there. Mostly because its easier to learn from a video. (for me anyway)
The .JARs are now located in ~/.minecraft/versions/ in one of the folders in there (will have every version you have downloaded with the new launcher)
Why would you assume Ubuntu? They said Paint.net (Windows only) and Photoshop (Windows and Mac only), neither of which are on Ubuntu natively. GIMP is they only one they mentioned that is available natively in Linux.
Besides, that's not what they were asking.
Nope.
bens1226First of all: what is your O.S?
If it's Ubuntu go into home and press ctrl-h and it should come up as .minecraft
I think you have to press winkey and somthing else and search %appdata% on windows, hope I helped
