Wow, I am just so excited to be making a YouTube channel, and with more than 1,000 students in my school, if they all subscribe, I can be halfway to being monetized lol! Anyways, I have compiled 4 ideas for my first video for you to vote on! The ones that don’t get chosen, I will still make, just not as my first video.

As someone who's monetized, I can tell you that it's not the 1k subscribers but instead it is the 4000 hours watch time requirement that is a challenge for most people. For example, I have a video with 21k views and the watch time for that specific video is 820 hours. So you'll likely need around >100k views in order to get monetized.
Anyway, monetization should only be a long-term goal. Just focus on the content for now and just do what you enjoy :D
