Creating My Own Fantasy Universe [Criticism Needed]

So lately, I've been at work jotting down different ideas and plans for creating my own universe and eventually, my own stories. For now, I'm jotting down background information and what-not. It will be a not-so-dystopian-but-still-dystopian alien future, probably entirely in its own universe.

I'm thinking I need to thicken the background information, and explain all the things. I kinda left everything floating around in my head xD

These are definitely unique and creative ideas, but I feel like if I were to be reading this I would get lost in the unfamiliarity of these characters. The ideas are great, but the whole Pyl thing is a bit confusing to me. I would recommend creating a basic storyline; what are the character(s) trying to do in this new universe, Where are the lonely travelers that the Yi companions to travelling to? Sorry if this was a bit confusing, but hey criticism and ideas.
