I'm no computer technician, nor do I have much expertise at all...

but wouldn't that CPU prevent the 960 from being used to the max capacity? It's like giving a horse an incredibly fancy saddle, and then breaking it's legs.

The Pentium has the potential to bottleneck higher end graphics cards at its stock speed of 3.2Ghz but when you overclock it the issue becomes less apparent. A G3258 at 4.3Ghz could handle a 960 without many problems, the only problem being the core count being relatively low by today's standards.

In GTA V for example, the 960 might not be at 100% usage but it would be fine in the majority of other games that are less intensive on the CPU. The Pentium even does fine in Black Ops 3 so it can handle some AAA titles.
(Speaking as a G3258 owner)

Thanks. I have/had some uneducated bias, considering the praised, almighty i5/i7 processors seem to be hailed as the best one can get, without question (though I'll assume it's because you don't have to overclock those to use a 960 well).
