The catch is, since I live in Alaska I can only buy from newegg and Amazon. The total price of that for me ends up being $864.78. My max price is 1000, preferably 900 and below.

What is this computer going to be used for?
Homework, Minecraft (heavily Modded), all that kind of stuff.
What is your budget?
1000 usd max. Preferably 900.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Alaska. No microcenter, I can only use newegg and Amazon.
What is included in the budget?
I do need a Monitor and the OS.
Will you be overclocking?
Yes
Will you be reusing any parts?
Keyboard and Mouse.
What OS do you want?
Windows 8 or 10
Any specific case preferences?
Any color as long as you can try to make a theme of it. Window. ATX.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Wireless wifi adaptor

I will be upgrading to pascal next cyber Monday. So I do not need a really high powered gpu. Also, if I could get an i5 that would be nice.
Thanks!

Hi _coolness_!

You asked Namez for a good SSD and I figured I can contribute to your build with some experience I've had with SSDs. Currently I'm running two Samsung SSDs ( Samsung SSD EVO 850 500GB) separately (for almost 1 1/2 years). These guys runs smooth and with incredible speed. IF your budget affords it, you should get the 120GB version (Samsung SSD EVO 850 120GB) for obviously your OS and games you mainstream.

PRICE ATM!: Amozon has 44% off! (56 USD/w free shipping)
Samsung SSDs is/has been acknowledged to be some of the best SSDs in the world!

Also, with the system builder windows, will I be able to upgrade to windows 10? Or do I have to buy retail version and install that?

I love that build Namez! But I have a few questions: 1. Would It be worth it to get this monitor (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/acer-monitor-umwg6aab01) Manufacturer refurbished for 80$ instead? 2. Should I buy the actual OS or just the activation code? I think we have an 8.1 disc already (been used though, needs activation key.) 3. With any extra money what ssd would you recommend? Thanks for your patience, I just really don't want to mess up

EDIT: We do not have a disc, is there I place where I can download all that stuff and just buy the code?

How is it awful? Do you have any other constructive criticism besides crying about a build that somebody else posted? This is unlocked unlike a shitty low end i5 and can be overclocked like nothing else. Also, http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-3 ... MD-FX-8320 Which one is more expensive? Also, I'm pretty sure he isn't going to be using integrated graphics

Namez is too cool to give constructive criticism. Name says what he thinks. #Savage

But anyway, the i5 will beat the 8320 in every test ever. My i5-4460 even beats my friend's 8350 in 9/10 of the situations.

It is true that you can overclock the 8320, but you must be dreaming if you hope to even reach stock clock speeds on that motherboard. If you expect to get higher performance out of an AMD cpu than an Intel one, then you're going to have to own a bulletproof motherboard able to withstand extreme overclocks. And at that point, you'd be spending more than just buying an Intel cpu/motherboard in the first place.
And even at the point of beating the Intel cpu, the AMD cpu would be running at 4x the heat.

GPUShack also ships GPUs to Alaska for free, so you can use it. It also has a 2 year warranty on their GPUs, which is later than when Pascal will come out.
Also, all of the parts are from Newegg/Amazon and the build has a nice black/red theme.

Bravipcpartpicker.com/b/kyd6Mp replace led lighting with 2x2 ddr3 sticks or cooler for oc and buy 1080p monitor on craigslist, newegg or amazon. for the os you can go on thepiratebay.se, you can reuse the trial iso from microsoft or you can buy it for 10$ on ebay.

That build is just AWFUL.

Well, yeah, I criticize bad builds, I don't cry about it, and I'm pretty sure an i5 4690K kills an 8320 in everything. Dont use CPUBoss, they are extremely biased, he wants Pascal, so don't give him a high end GPU now.
Back on the topic of "-snippy- low end i5", they can be OCed much better, they are way faster than any FX CPU. Not only that, but you compared it to a 2012 i5.
Just leave the thread. An i5 > FX 8320, end of story. Don't turn this into an AMD vs Intel thread, and get the thread locked so he doesn't get the help he deserves.
Edit: Even on a biased site, the i5 was much better than the FX 8320. Compare it to the current i5, the 4690K. It will kill it in everything, including OC.

Comes to just under $1000 before MIR. You are sacrificing SSD performance for the OS (you didn't have in original build), PSU, and the case. You said you were going with Pascal soon, so I got you a 750Ti.
By the way, I am tired so this probably isn't the best. The MIRs are a crazy amount, I know, lemayo

Drop the CPU, get a better GPU.Wait for Pascal.
Don't get that SSD, it is utter crap.
Get a better case.
Get a cheaper Z97 motherboard.
Don't go cheap with the PSU.
Get the Seagate Barracuda as the HDD
