I have a mac also, Xeon isn't anything like a Mac. It really isn't.

And to those who say gaming on a Mac is silly, tons of people game on a Mac. They are fine with most games.

If I were you I would choose Crucial BX100 over MX100 as my SSD. It has better features and here is an article to back me up. http://www.techwarn.com/crucial-bx100-vs-mx100-review/

I use a 1 TB BX100 myself (bought it nearly brand-new for $260) and it's fabulous.

This would more than meet your needs if you are only playing Gmod/Minecraft. It can also handle many other games on high/ultra with 60 fps. However, that will probably change with games released over the next year or two meaning that you'd need an upgrade if you wanted to max out the newest games. It's cheaper than Murica's build with roughly the same performance. The Xeon is cheaper but is slightly slower(200mhz difference) and lacks an integrated GPU which you really need since you have a dedicated card. If you are worried about your GPU failing you and/or can utilize an iGPU along side your GPU feel free to go for it. The stock CPU fan will be fine unless you are concerned about noise.

If he is playing only Gmod and Minecraft and you want a cheap cpu, Go with AMD 8350, Im just telling that xeons are better for some stuff and core i's are better for stuff like gaming. I didnt tell the OP to use i7's...

No. Both of them are based on single core performance, so the 8350 (with 8 very weak cores) will do horrible. Xeon is much better with stronger single cores.

I wouldn't say it's better than an i7, not for gaming at least. The 1231v3 is the equivalent to an i7-4770, but without an integrated GPU. Other than that, the price difference, and the 24/7 operation certification on the Xeon, they are the exact same.

The Xeon is basically a cheaper, 24/7-certified i7-4770 without an integrated GPU. Performance-wise, it's pretty much the same.

You put a 80+(not bronze) 500 watt PSU in a 950 pound build and you want us to believe you know what you're when choosing parts?

And no WiFi as OP requested, lol.

Updated build. Talked with some of my homies and we decided a 960 will be plenty for now seeing as how NVIDIA will be releasing their Pascal GPUs sometime next year (and those will be insanely powerful).

Right. Personally your -snip- answers make me want to cry like when my friend said wanted to buy an apple Imac for his birthday. If you want a PC that will last you 5+ years plus guaranteed from someone who (technically) works for PCspecialist mainstream and enthusiast builds then listen to me.
to stream or record for YouTube, I would personally use a http://www.bluemic.com/yeti/ just because I have been using mine for over 2 years and it is still crystal clear. You should find some tech spec vids on the Tube if you don't believe me.
All your other answers are so short they are barely audible to the geeks eye, but honestly I think you should use an intel i7 4790k just because its only £30 more than base clocked plus the last piece you will replace in your pc will be the processor. You don't need any more than 8GB trust me my first build had 4gb and worked fine. All it is is an environment for the processor to work in, nothing more, nothing less. You need a large SSD for any games you may order as they load up quick as lightning. GTAV PC loads up in 8 seconds and it takes up nearly 60GB's. MSI gtx 970 works brilliantly for what it is + you can buy another when you get the money meaning 70% extra power. Also it is red. Nothing is faster than red.

For the price, it's not horrible, but for the money you spend you can get much better. Like this:

You can replace the 1 TB hard drive with a 2 TB one (this is good), but it'll be about 6 quid over budget.
