Just refreshed and saw all of this, and yeah it's a placebo effect. When the Hobbit was release at 48 fps people where getting dizzy and nauseous so unless you are super human and have evolved dramatically I don't think you can distinguish.
science has proven that you can infact tell the difference...
Just shouting science at something doesn't actually prove anything. In real life we son't measure the images we see is not measured in frames but digitally there is no difference past 60.

here we go
a nice clean post with muliple sources to prove the point

Hawkeye GraphicsmrjrbaconGhosthacker07Why do you want so many frames per second when the human eye cannot distinguish past 60? I guess if you are completely modifying your jar into oblivion...
You know that's a myth right? I can easily tell 60 fps from 120 fps.
It's a placebo effect then. You're making yourself think that it's different.

The new apple has finally caught up to most gaming specs and it outperforms most windows.

Rockstargman14WHY THE -kittens- ARE YOU ON PLANETMINECRAFT FOR THIS
-kittens-. Planet Minecraft is one of the best places to ask about computers that are best for playing Minecraft. That's kind of what the site is about, ya know. Minecrafting, and Minecraft-related topics.
WHY THE -kittens- ARE YOU ON PLANETMINECRAFT FOR THIS
Mods mostly i'm assuming. Some mods drop your FPS by alot.
Pfft not by 400 fps.
Why would you want that many FPS on MINECRAFT?!? LMFAO
^
Anywhere from 100-500 on maximum settings.
If the 7850 isnt enough, upgrade to a 7870!
