Hiya!

I have been working/saving up for the pas 2 years in order to buy a computer, but my budget has only came out to ~$600

I'd really like to put a Compter together by the end of this year...

So i came to you guys!

(Also anyone else exicted about GTA V w/ first person coming out tommorow?)

What is this computer going to be used for?
Gaming
(Heavy)-GTA/Battlefield 4
(Light)-Minecraft
Graphics
Heavy(Rendering)
Light(Photoshop)

What is your budget?
~$600
Include amount and currency.
~$600 U.S.D

Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
U.S, but considering there are only 25 locations, naw
Your country lets us know what sites you can order from. If you have a nearby Microcenter they have some great in-store only deals that you can take advantage of.
True that, but ill pay for shipping i guess

What is included in the budget?
I'd Like a Cheapish Tower, doesn't need to look fancy...
No operating system!
No monitor!
Things like the tower, the OS, peripherals and monitors.

Will you be overclocking?
I would like to have a toggle to overclock, in order to get rendering done faster/when playing very processor intensive games, but can you make to builds, one with overclocking parts and one without? You don't have to, of cource, but it would really be nice if you could!
Overclocking will require different hardware than a non-overclocking build so we need to know this.

Will you be reusing any parts?
If you are reusing parts list them here.
I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6c35dx
( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docu ... c=en&lc=en )
That includes a extra 8 gb ram that doesn't work on this computer, though
I cannot seem to open the computer up to get the parts

What OS do you want?
Windows 8.1
Say which OS you want or say if you already have a copy of one.
Already have it

Any specific case preferences?
Nope, but something black (even with toggleable lights thats cheap) would look good
Size, color, etc.

Any other special features that you want in the build?
A hybrid would be good, but they arent cheap, so mabye a ssd, 1T, or a hdd
Dont need raid, a new wifi module would be nice (Is it the 802.11ac the newest?)
Stuff like an SSD, large hard drive, RAID, and wifi

^ True, i don't need a ac, but i put that i wanted a ac... something that can handle over 100 megabytes is fine, or mabye 1000 if i could get google fiber

I might need a 4 gb video card, as games are now using more v ram, and mabye a quad core as games are using more cores, but cause of its hyper threading or something that makes it quad core, the i3 is ok

And about the video card, i do animation rendering, so ill prob need it

i doubt that'll be any time soon though, lol.

And no, you wont, trust me. 3 is plenty enough for every game out there and some of the future games. Really only need that much when you are doing higher resolutions or super sampling.

The video card will do fine. The 280x will easily do 100+ fps on Battlefield 4 on ultra. Just putting that out there.

Yeah, the adapter can be lowered, you probably don't even need one.

It's the cheapest Wi-Fi AC card. I can lower it, it's not a problem, but why not throw that there when you can?

I agree with you, although, either I live in the middle of no where, or not many people even use AC. I may be wrong though lol.

HiddenCloudI suggest you go with this one, I replaced the 2tb hdd with a 1 tb, a 2tb hard disk will make weird sounds after some time and there's a higher risk of the hdd breaking, you could re-use your old HDD or buy 2 seperate ones. (I doubt you need more than 1tb)

I replaced the amd graphics card with a nvidia one, most of them have much better prestations plus nvidia gfx card produce much less heat and require less power. The price is generally also lower. (if you compare performance) The graphics card can handle the games you want reasonably well. As the price is lower you now have money left for a better processor, a 4th generation i5 is the ideal processor in your case.

That's pretty bad. A cpu cooler on a locked cpu? And a locked cpu with an unlocked/outdated motherboard? Come on

Plus buying a 760 right now is a huge waste of money. You can get a 280 which is faster for the same price. Or bump the price up a bit and get a 280x, which is equal to or faster than a 770.

And he forgot to add a case. Just sayin.

lolol how did i overlook that.

Hmm, that seems meh

I was wanting a quad core cpu, and the wireless adapter can be lowered, i think...

(refer the the first build, i think... it had a $11 adapter)

The 3 gb video card is good, ive seen some 4 gb too...

No, it's not "meh", lol.

The i3 is technically a quad core cpu, it's a dual core processor with hyperthreading, which means 4 cores/threads. But it's a fast CPU, people don't give it enough credit.

Yeah, the adapter can be lowered, you probably don't even need one.

And no, don't be one of those people. Vram isn't the most important thing in the world. Only better when rendering higher resolutions.

Ok, the MOST important thing is to get high quality core components. You want to get a really good CPU and motherboard. If you get more money to upgrade later, then use it to buy a better GPU, or more RAM or something like that.

You want your CPU and motherboard to last a long time. Get the good stuff. A cheap graphics card (about $300) will be fine for a while. You can get some GTX700 series cards for that price.

Don't bother with a CPU fan, just use the stock one. If you're not experienced at overclocking, don't touch your CPU. Also, a high quality CPU, like a i5 3570. 4th gen is also good, but it needs to be compatible with the motherboard.
