When people talk about the game CubeWorld, it does seem like it could be a copy of minecraft? Think about it?! Minecraft has many remakes or games similar (For example Survivalcraft on the Kindle HD). When Minecraft Youtubers do videos of CubeWorld, will Minecraft soon be beaten in popularity? Also for the fact that CubeWorld is make out of CUBES as addition minecraft also is made out of CUBES. Your Thoughs on CubeWorld?

Just because a game uses voxels, it doesn't mean it's a copy of minecraft. In fact it is different in pretty much every way but the voxel look, And there were plenty of voxel based games before minecraft came out.

Minecraft: Sandbox game with survival elements

Cube World: RPG game with MMORPG elements

I'm sure Notch is drawing up the copyright infringement case as we speak.

Why does every block based game automatically copy Minecraft? Its not like Minecraft is the first game ever to have blocks. just my opinion.

I agree. From what I read on the CubeWorld page, there seems to be very few things in common (from what I recall)

Cube World has more in common with Xenoblade or Final Fantasy than MC. It looks like a true RPG, except it's entirely open world.

Just because it's made out of voxels doesn't mean it's a clone of Minecraft.
The gameplay and features are, I am sure, 100% different from Minecraft aside from the world being made out of cubes/voxels.

If you want to call something a Minecraft-clone, or almost a clone, try Total Miner.

I actually have a pretty funny story about Total Miner (I loved the game to death before I figured out what the heck 'minecraft' was)

The big difference: Minecraft is a sandbox. You do whatever you want, and build whatever you want. Cube World is an RPG. You go on quests and adventure.

Cube World is nothing like Minecraft. Sure it is voxel-based, but that is as far as you can call it similar. You don't survive by mining, fighting mobs and that. You explore, level up and that sort of thing, sort of like an rpg. Sure it has aspects like seeds which Minecraft has, but so does a lot of games. They are not similar unless you are going to take into account the fact it is voxel based. With that I could say Dragon Age is similar to Elder Scrolls because they are designed to look like a medieval fantasy world. It doesn't work. But Cube World is a much needed fresh game for Minecrafters to play and get new experiences. I have seen it and it looks fantastic, although not a copy, nor a clone. I suggest looking up some stuff and doing a bit more research before hating on something you know nothing about.

Yeah cube world is different from the minecraft. You cannot build there and do other stuff which you can do in the minecraft.

Well, all Im going to say is Haters gonna Hate. Minecraft is inspired by other games too, so thats completely normal. I do really like CubeWorld and Im very much looking forward to it. Mostly if it allows modding.

Cube world differs from minecraft in many places.

In Minecraft, you have the ability to destroy blocks and place them, to create whatever your heart desires. In cube world, only certain Items can be broken. Only things that it really have similar with Minecraft is the crafting menu (which is very different from Minecrafts, but its still crafting) and Animals.

From what I have seen, I have no beef with CubeWorld. However, from my skimming, it does borrow a lot from Minecraft.

I'm not sure if you aware, but the creators of the game stated that Minecraft, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, ETC are all games that inspired the creating of Cubeworld
