Does this build work?
https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/YH48TW/3 ... 8gtx-750ti
^^
First off I just wanted to know if all the parts would be compatible with each other (still kind of a n00b to building) and what games this could run.
I might OC the Intel Pentium, still not sure yet.
Games I want to run (probably like medium settings, I don't need high):
ARK
CS:GO
Civilization V
Cities:Skylines
Rocket League
Please don't suggest a different specific part if it's much more money, I can't really afford much more than this.
Thank you

This is a better build, 265 is faster than a 750ti, but uses a bit more power, but still a low amount nonetheless.

I would definitely run with this over the former build. The CPU may sometimes bottleneck the GFX, but you're running with an up-to-date motherboard (LG1150 socket), so you can switch that poop CPU out for quad later on. Good build!
EDIT: I didn't look at your RAM until just now. Note that two identical DDR3 RAM sticks will run dual-channel with that motherboard. You definitely want to utilize your dual-channel, so run with 2x4 sticks (do NOT buy two separate 1x4 sticks unless you know what you're doing). The RAM frequency is this date on that mobo though so it looks good! Definitely worth the buy, ppl. Make sure you get x64 Windows to utilize that x64 processor & be able to use 4+ gigs of RAM!

Nah, the CPU won't bottleneck, the 265 isn't that high end of a card. GPU will bottleneck normally before the CPU will. The Pentium K is a powerhouse for its price. You can overclock it to 4.2ghz safely on the stock cooler. Some got to 4.4 on stock. Just depends.
And also, the dual channel won't effect game performance, it would on bench-marking, but nothing noticeable ingame.

Awesome!
I will think about getting this one instead now.
Thank you!!

ARK from what I hear isn't particularly well optimised so your GPU would probably struggle a tad bit there. And like I tell absolutely everyone, DON'T cheap out on parts! Wait until you can afford better parts otherwise you'll be stuck with a low end PC and you won't be able to upgrade it due to the cheap parts.

What parts do you consider cheap? I get what you're saying but I wanted this kind of just as a starting out gaming PC.
And I looked at the specs for ARK again, it does look like it wouldn't run too well on my build so I'll probably just not buy it when the time comes to build, thanks for reminding me about that :3

Think of the long run is what I always say, buying a PC specifically for gaming can be expensive which is why you want to get the most 'bang for your buck'. Try looking on YouTube for $300-$400 gaming rigs, there's tons of them. But if you have enough patience I'd save up a $100 minimum to get to mid range pc's.

K. I'll think about it.
Thanks

I know, it just wasn't in the standard editable view to where you could see if it isn't compatible. I found out how to edit it and it didn't say incompatible so it should work.
Kinda wanted to invest more on the gpu which is why I did a dual core. Plus you can OC the Pentium to about 4.4 on this one, so it's kinda good enough for me for now

it should easily do those considering my pc is old and can do that though mine is OC so i would suggest that if you have knowledge of it and you might be able to even play on high

Kinda going more for FPS on games like CSGO, so I might not play on high for that, but I would definitely want to for other games.
The processor can OC to like 4.4 ghz I think, do you think I could pull that off with these parts?
