Favorite pre 2000 games?

Simple question (I guess :/). Anyways, post your favorite pre (before) 2000 games :D. They don't have to be in order. If you can, list 10. Here's my list :D (in no particular order :P):
1. Warcraft 2 (particularly Beyond the Dark Portal expansion)
2. Age of Empires 2 (and the latest expansion, but that is post 2000 :/ )
3. Doom 2
4. Heretic
5. Duke Nukem 3D
6. Jazz jackrabbit 2 (never played 1)
7. Putt-putt (many of them)
8. Rollercoaster Tycoon
9. Caesar 3
10. Anno 1602

Geez... that's pretty cool. I don't know 3/4 of these games and never heard of them, but it looks pretty good. I haven't played old settlers (didn't know they existed :/) but I played the facebook one a couple of years ago

command and conquer, age of empires the old rts games were and still are so good
half life n portal
i didn't really start gaming till around 7 years ago so i had to catch up by stealing my dads games
I also enjoyed things like Neverwinter nights and all the DnD computer games...temple of elemental evil etc, they were good exercise for my little mind
And there was The Elder Scrolls I Arena and The Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall <3 (they ran is DOS they are so cute)

Dude putt-putt was awesome when I was younger, it seems like in my memory its turned into like a dream where you know it happened but you can't remember the details.

Gran Turismo 1 and 2: I never played them, but I'm a fan of Gran Turismo series ( I only played since Gran Turismo 3, but that game is from 2001)

My dad had Age of Empires quite a while ago and I played it a lot when I was around 5. Brings back fond memories

1) Battlezone 2 - one of my favourite games of all time, has many mods as well!

Age of Empires 2: It's amazing that, for such an old game, the graphics hold up fairly well and it's still quite fun.
It received an expansion back in 2013 (14 years after the game was released) and is getting another expansion later this year. After all this time, its fan base hasn't gotten tired of the gameplay.

I know about the second expansion (that's what I talked about in the post :P). It's nice to see modders adding more content to it. When I get some more programming skills, I will try to make a mod for it :D

This isn't exactly a game from the 90's or anything but I still play it to this very day, Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne. Everyone of my friends hate it, no clue why. I don't play the actual game I play WMW or Legion TD and many more maps

Good job playing it! I am not good with micro-management, and that's pretty much the base of the game, so I don't play it that much. I am not great at that :/
