FNAF 4
What do you guys think of FNAF 4 coming out?
I read some comments on (YouTube) The Game Theorists 'FNAF Mysteries SOLVED' video, and apparently, Freddy reveals himself to be a time-traveling demon, and the Purple Guy is an alien. I'm starting to think that Scott Cawthon is trying to stump everyone who tries to figure out his complex stories. but MatPat is fighting back. HARD. I'm excited though for the game. It's fun to see the new mechanics. AND I want to see how complex the timeline becomes when MatPat theorizes on it. What do you have to say to way in?

I don't think FNAF 2 and 3 were copies. FNAF 2 had more then double the enemies, had no doors, and had minigames. FNAF 3 had just 1 animatronic, the rest were spirits (don't know what to call them, haven't played 2 and 3. xD) and has a system reset menu. As far as I'm concerned, they're not copies.
Also, I think the vague story is one of the reasons FNAF is still being talked about. The story of FNAF is interesting to me.

Can I just point out: Why are people having a go at the game developer for trying to make money out of this?
Isn't it the whole point of any game developer? To make money?

Most of them at least either cover up their lack of creativity or actually offer solid new content each game (ie, content that can't just go into a normal update for other games). Unless you are talking about something else, in which case I have no idea what you are trying to take a swing at.
I'm fine with developers trying to make money out of stuff. That's completely fine and that's cool. Just when the developer shoots out 1 game three times with three different titles, that's when I draw the line.
I bet it's gonna come out a fourth time, even if they will release it a bit later compared to the others.

What's wrong with releasing 3 games in quick succession? If anything, I'm impressed he was able to do that.

I understand how hard it is to make a game, but all three of his games were almost the same game with a different coating. The first game, sure, that was hard, but the other two seemed to be what could of possibly even different gamemodes or just addons to the first. The only thing keeping the thing afloat at this point really are fanboys, slight hope for a different game in October, and the lore that theorists weave.

That is true for the first game, then FNAF 2 came out trying to work of the story of the first one. and COME ON nothing is as bad as something related to twilight, not even modern spongebob

Scott makes a new, unoriginal game (next to no changes to gameplay) every 3 months, trying to beat the dead horse of FNAF. The fanbase churns out FNAF related content, which while some being decent, much of it poor quality and there's just so damn much of it. Look at PMC, for example. FNAF skins, maps, blogs. GAH! SO MUCH!

I think it's another money grab that won't bring anything new to the table, and that the community is going to spam god knows how many sites with irrelevance in various places.

FNaF is becoming like one of those old TV shows or comics that are dying so the story writers add weird plot things like demons and aliens.
We don't NEED it... they WANT it... it's better to leave the mysteries in the game to be... it would be cool, but nah. Another game... I'd like to see how it ends up...
