Well, the man found his laptop, so I think we're done here. No need to debate the contents of another man's PC. /lock

PlanetSide 2 is HUGELY resource intensive. Like, my PC (i3-4130, 740Ti, 8GB RAM) can't play it well and my PS4's fans sound like they're about to take off when playing it. It's not even that pretty. It needs optimization. Not surprised you can't run it.

There is no such thing as a 740 Ti. Do you have a 740 or a 750 Ti?

It's been like 6 months...

Bumping to the max. Well I'm glad your laptop hasn't exploded yet!
I've had many friends who bought cheap laptops only to complain it couldn't play Crysis wars and such. My mom's laptop (Custom xD) got messed up from the charger. My friends had the same thing. Another one had their video card die, but they had 2?!?!? Yep... gg for your laptop though!

AzieZ645AzieI once had an HP laptop. My screen had some loose cables/bad welding that caused my monitor to longer function and my battery died in the first year.
I no longer have an HP.
Wait what?
The monitor portion of my laptop wouldn't display anything after a while. If you jiggled it or held it the right way, you could get it to display for a few seconds and then it would just go dark again.
There's usually ribbon cables that stretch up the rotating bit, and they can be pulled loose or the contact bit can rub off. It's common, sadly.

well i bought it and it plays about every game i have very well. its the best in the house can play skyrim in high settings and a bunch of others. minecraft i can have all settings maxed but view distance at about 12 and i get a average of 30fps it can definately handle about every current game and the issues described ive never had so far and its not using intel so maybe thats a difference for the better

we"ll see if it still works well in half a year and works at all in a year
for a hp that would be success

Every current game huh? Try Planetside 2 which isn't even current. Battlefield 4? Witcher 3?
Not trying to be rude my laptop isn't even as nice as yours.

hp laptops are the least reliable you can get, it is a bad choice to go with them
regular issues they have:
cheap parts causing high energy use and heat
overly loud cooling fan
does not recognize being closed, burns a whole battery charge during a 1 hour trip
screen partially going black when room temperature is above average
hard disk breaking in first year of use
stay away from hp

I'm fairly certain that you could get a significantly better laptop for a $400 budget. If you could, I would highly recommend doing a custom build, unless portability is one of your main priorities. Before you make your final decision, try visiting your local Best Buy.
