Just got 20k! What to do?
Hi, my friend gave me his huge collection (about 2,500 cards) of his vintage Magic: the Gathering lot. I looked it up and there worth about 20k dollars in total.
I don't have any type of electronic except for my iPod but I'm a HUGE gamer.
(Long story.) Anyways, I need to get a good gaming laptop for me and my friend,
(Mobility is a priority for me) and peripherals too. You can suggest other things too, maybe like a desktop and other stuff!

this thread is full of lies~!

I would plan ahead and buy a car with that 20 grand.

I say Put it in the bank then you could get more then just 20k when you figure out what you want

Give everyone who commented on this post some money.

Best idea i've heard in my life.
1
Ummm... how did your friend get cards worth over $20,000 and why would he give $20,000 to you instead of keep it for himself?
1
His friend might have not thought they were any good and gave it to him thinking they where not worth that much.
1
Because this thread is full of lies. He doesn't share it with multiple people, and the same person said he has depression, and such, and moved far away from his friends (like last week)
So he met some kid, and now he just gave you 20k worth of cards? Yeahhh, I'm sure this is legit.
He is just a kid looking for attention.

Go to subway. SUBS ARE ALWAYS THE ANSWER

Hard to believe that they're worth that much, but congratulations.

Wow that is ovepriced >.>
With alienware, I feel like you just pay for the cool looking case.
I mean, those cases look SLICK, but power wise, it's overpriced to the high heavens.
MSi has some cool looking laptops for a lot less with the same or better specs, so i dont see what attracts people to Alienware so much.

Mkay xD
1. Give a portion to your friend, if he hand't gave you the cards you would have the $$$
2. Buy a custom computer under 1,500
3. Invest a little in stocks, but research!
4. Save it up for college, you probally think its stupid now, but you will be so much better off later xD

Keep the card collection until it becomes more valuable.
Then give it to your great great grand kids (inheritance, bro.) and they can sell it.

You have two options:
1: Be stupid and waste all of it.
2: Be smart and buy something and save for college or a car.

Save it.
I had a large amount of money when I was a kid, and I wasted it, now I'm older, and trying to buy a house, and boy could I do with that money now!

I'd say spend it on College, but I go to College for free.
Instead of buying a desktop, buy components and build it yourself. It's great practice and fun to do. Not to mention that it'll help you in the future if you decide to go into the computer field.

Anything else and you're stupid.
Honestly, you spend it all now, you're REALLY gonna hate yourself later.
I remember spending (seemingly little) $750 on my gaming computer. A few days after, I felt dumb for doing it, as I now need a car to actually get to a place of employment with a decent pay (G-Ma's backyard ain't gonna cut it anymore!)

With what navbarry said, i have seen you with many other threads that cancel the info you told us in this out...

Lemony are you a serial liar? Hate to be harsh but in some threads you say you have a mac book pro, while other threads you say you're working for intel. Even other threads, you state they you have a crappy dell lattitude and are looking to find a good build. Did you actually get 20k?
