LAPTOP / NOTEBOOK -- HELP AND SUGGEST! (Thank you.)
First of all - Laptop = notebook to me. If it's not, just comment saying I'm wrong.
Second of all, I'm going to seaside vacation on 13th July, and I would really love a laptop/notebook by my side so I could keep connected to Skype, MC, PMC, etc. daily.
I live in / will go on seaside in - Croatia, so if it's a laptop from the net, make it ship really fast to this country (2 day max.), which also gives us no time for a custom built notebook (if there is the option at all XD).
Third, the budget is 360$, but could go to 400$ if it's a really good product. There are no favorited brands of laptops when it comes to my parents, and I'm just sad that I can't afford a MacBook with the given budget XD (P.S. "HP" does seem good.)
Fourth, I would not say Bluetooth is the most important thing, but I know WiFi is a must-have in the laptop. I'd also like the laptop to have a couple of USB (2.0) inserts, so no flat laptop!
Fifth, the cores I don't get in too much. I know the more I have, the stronger it is. But with some small research I doubt I could get a laptop with more than 2 cores, I want to be able to play Minecraft with neat FPS (50+), have Skype on, and at the same time maybe have some music from YouTube playing - all working flawless or at least close to flawless.
Sixth, thank you for reading aaaall this. You have shown that you care, which I appreciate. If you think there's something, anything I missed, just comment and I'll try to add.
- -400$
- Croatia (till 13th July if shipping)
- No special brand needed
- No need for Bluetooth
- Must have (good) WiFi
- Cores - as good as they can be!
- Run 3 tasks flawlessly.
- At least 2x USB(2.0)
- D: has to have at least 500GB
- Windows 8!

[Please read, it will be much easier to help. If you are however too lazy, scroll down, I posted the resime of what all the laptop needs.]

Thank you all for help. Without you, I wouldn't choose DELL. At the end I decided to increase my budget, so I bought the DELL Inspirion 3537 i5 featuring Windows 8.
I hope it serves me well.

I really reccomend MSI laptops they're very good for the price that you pay. They're a pretty unknown company but they make really awesome gaming laptops this is their website http://www.msi.com/product/nb/

I found an interesting laptop, DELL Inspirion 15'' 3000.
As you mentioned, W7 support is going down soon (which I really thank you for the information!) so it has Windows 8.1, as one of you also suggested. I am interested if it would suit my needs I wrote down in my thread post #1.

Windows 8.1 is better for gaming and all, and it's just faster in general. If you use it, you'll notice that you won't use the metro as much as people who have never used it, like you to believe. I'm sure you've never used it either, because if you have, it's just like Windows 7, except faster, and its more simple to find the stuff.
With this budget, i'd probably go with a APU, as that'd be your best bet, I'm sure you could get atleast a A8 in that budget.

^ good deal
The GPU is pretty good, but the CPU isn't. An Intel CPU is much better, even though it costs more. I'm 90% sure that the CPU will bottleneck the GPU. Also, Minecraft mostly depends on the CPU, so it'll be hard for him to play Minecraft with that laptop. Anyway, if you're going for other games except Minecraft, it's not a bad deal.
an intel cpu isnt necesarily better. Some amd cpus are better and if you are on a budget AMD is better.
Well, USUALLY Intel CPU's are better. And yes, if you have a limit, AMD is the best.

I like windows 7 the best.
There's nothing wrong with Windows 7 (though I prefer 8.1), but support for it ends mid-January, so getting a new computer with it is very unwise.
1
TheShadbusherYou're gonna need Windows 8(.1). Windows 7 support ends in 6 months.
For laptops, don't get less than an A10 APU if you're going AMD (an A8 will work, but it won't be nearly as good), or Intel HD Graphics 4400 if you're going Intel.

They said it stops in 2020

Extended support ends in 2020. Mainstream support ends in January 2015.

Dell Inspiron N7110 or Dell E5420. The N7110 is the one I'm currently using, but the E5420 looks pretty good too.
*EDIT*: N7110 costs a bit more than your budget ($120 more). If you can manage to get that much, that's good.

This reminded me of a few things I must add, the GB capacity I want, the Windows I want and such. I will look up this Acer if there's anywhere possible to buy, It looks good at first sight, but I don't just need it for this summer. I need it for quite a time (2-3 years or more.)

I have had excellent experience with HP and Dell products, Have not had any problems with them. So I would look at those brands.

As said, "HP" does look good, and Dell hasn't been a laptop manufacturer in my eyes so far. So I will see if anyone here suggests Dell
