Late 2009 Unibody Macbook
So, I've been trying to decide on a computer to get recently. I've been looking at a late 2009 Unibody Macbook. The most intensive application I would be running is vanilla Minecraft, so it doesn't have to be that great. Also, I'm used to a very slow PC, so yeah. I don't want to be suggested any computers, all I want to know is how well it would run Minecraft on decent settings. Provide the settings with your fps estimate as well. Thanks in advance.

I'd stay away from intel at your budget, you won't find anything that'll run good. The one I listed and the one shad listed (the dell one) are your best bets.

Not well at all. It's a Celeron CPU with unbranded Intel HD Graphics.
At your price point you should be looking at laptops with AMD A8 or A10 APUs (with the A10 being preferred).

Is there anything that will make win8 compatible with dialup?

You can't really get them with Windows 7, but Windows 7 mainstream support is going away in half a year anyways, and Windows 8 has options to make it look like 7.

Im open to suggestions for black laptops btw,if they are better and cheaper. Also, Skinner, just web browsing and Minecraft.

Macs also have a very good wifi signal so they can pick up wifi signals pretty far away
it would also be wise to look into to get a cellular data plan for this computer 2-3GB should be enough

Ik its not white, but it's not fully black either. I just think plain black laptops are bland and ugly.

Well, he doesn't even have wifi where he lives.. so yeah. He's in a rural area. The only wifi options are overpriced with a small data limit with low speeds. But anyways, I just like the design of the Mac. If you could find me a white laptop that will run MC well, I would appreciate it. It doesn't have to be an overkill gaming computer, just a decent *white* laptop that will run Minecraft at decent settings. Thanks.

Why get a mac? Why not a newer, cheaper laptop (Since you are getting that..)
And for the dialup thing, who even uses dialup anymore? I'm sure he means ethernet, which if he is confused by that, then I assume he is older, and doesn't realize how much WiFi has come in the last few years.
My WiFi is almost the same speed as my ethernet cord (WiFi is just like, 20kb's slower) which isn't much.

One other thing, is it compatible with dialup internet? Because if my dad uses it, he will be using dial-up because he doesn't like wifi for whatever reason.. So is there anyway that this computer will be able to work with dialup? Thanks.
