Ok so, I've had a sucky laptop since I got minecraft and I plan to get a desktop later on. I just want to know if this computer is any good.

Thanks so much! This is the build I was looking for, a cheap and reliable build. Also as I said, I just don't know how to work windows 8 or 8.1 so I prefer 7 home premium since I've been using that the past 5 years.

Like others have said, it is literally no different once you get past the "Start screen" I've been using 7 like you for the past few years and the transition lasted all of about 10 minutes.

Alright I'll go with that, but you got any suggestions for a computer desk?

This PC good? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/G9hNxr
By good is I mean:

Can it run minecraft at a constant 60-100+ FPS?
Can it run shaders?
Can it run modpacks?

And btw that includes the keyboard and the moniter, all I need is the mouse and mouse pad which I already know where I'm getting them from.

It will be able to do all of that, but it isn't nearly as good as this build. You have an outdated CPU that isn't very strong, an overclocking motherboard, a strange amount of RAM that would take up too many slots, a bad case, and an outdated OS.

Here is what I'd get. It'll be much faster than that, but it's pushing the $800 limit. If you want it cheaper, you can lower the CPU, get an older chipset (motherboard), and that'll cut a good 70-100 dollars off of it.

Can you change it to windows 7? As I said, I can't work with 8 or 8.1 ;(

Mainstream support ends soon, and why can't you work with it? 8.1 is almost no different than 7, you don't even have to use the Metro start screen. Just right click it, and you have almost all the same things as the start menu in 7.

Now, I don't want to "ruin your dreams", but you shouldn't get Windows 7. Mainstream support of it ends in less than 6 months. Windows 8 wasn't that good, but 8.1 is amazing. Go get that.

Well, if you move your mouse into the top or bottom left corner, a sidebar will appear and the start menu has a tablet look. I know this cause I'm running Windows 8.1.

If with the start button you mean the start menu design, nothing.

Idk how to use 8.1 or 8 in general, and I like windows 7 a bit more anyways, is mainstream support a kind of warranty o.o

It's nothing different. You can disable the new menu and get nearly the same thing as Windows 7.

Do you need a monitor? I don't quite understand what you were saying at that part. Or are you buying it with the mouse, etc?

I think he already got the monitor and the mouse (or at least found where he'll buy those).

What is this computer going to be used for?
Minecraft and basic internet use
What is your budget?
Most I can distribute is around $700-$800
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
U.S and Idk about the microcenter probably not.
What is included in the budget?
I need everything but I already got where the mouse and the mouse pad will be coming from, and the moniter. Plus the keyboard is included in the build I'm hoping to get listed above ^^^
Will you be overclocking?
Idk what this is.
Will you be reusing any parts?
No.
What OS do you want?
Windows 7 (Home Premium mostly)
Any specific case preferences?
I don't really care, something that can fit the parts well.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Again, Idk what these do so most likely no.

I'd like the cheapest build possible that will allow me to run shaders, record, and use modpacks.

Also even though minecraft only needs around 60 FPS to stay stable I'd like a computer that can stay at a consistent 100+ FPS

Please fill this out.
What is this computer going to be used for?
List what you will be doing with your computer.
What is your budget?
Include amount and currency.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Your country lets us know what sites you can order from. If you have a nearby Microcenter they have some great in-store only deals that you can take advantage of.
What is included in the budget?
Things like the tower, the OS, peripherals and monitors.
Will you be overclocking?
Overclocking will require different hardware than a non-overclocking build so we need to know this.
Will you be reusing any parts?
If you are reusing parts list them here.
What OS do you want?
Say which OS you want or say if you already have a copy of one.
Any specific case preferences?
Size, color, etc.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Stuff like an SSD, large hard drive, RAID, and wifi
