I've finally acquired enough money to buy a gaming desktop, but I need some help with the specs. For my computer I would like it to have a i7 or i5 with overclocking capability, an NZXT Phantom Case, and preferably NVIDIA GeForce for the video card. I will be using this computer to record, livestream, edit/render videos, play games such as League of Legends, Minecraft, Arma II/III, GMod, and Skyrim. Thank you for your help, and if you could please keep in mind that the keyboard, monitor/s, mouse, and speakers are part of the budget. My budget is $1000-1200, preferably more towards the lower end.

Why would you put a h100i with that low end motherboard? Horribly unbalanced. I would definitely get a different 970 as well or just wait until the r9 300 series which is rumored to crush the 900 series. You will really benefit from an i7 so i'd spend extra to get it. Get this.

Also, Woody, you included tons of parts that have a 5 or 10 buck MIR that puts them a few cents cheaper than base price somewhere else. Outlet PC loves to do that so always check and make sure to change the price to another retailer if applicable.

"Low end" of the budget... *cough* just stay outta this, name *cough* (jk, lol)

Here's what I threw together in the past 5 minutes. It's toward the high-end of your budget, but it will do everything you want it to do. But if you're able to wait a month or two, then I would highly suggest not going with the GPU I listed, and instead waiting for the AMD 3xx series comes out. It's supposed to crush the performance of the current generation Nvidia GPUs.

Also, I put in the cheapest of the NZXT Phantom cases. It's the 240. It doesn't look quite as Phantom-y as the full tower, but it's still obviously a Phantom.

But anyway,

If you're willing to spend a little more, I would actually suggest going with this power supply over the cx500m, if you'd be willing to sacrifice semi-modular-ness. I forgot to factor in the overclocking, and you might need a higher wattage to get a stable overclock.
(Let the other guys in the PC group correct my flaws, though)
