Hi. In order to help out users (and maybe me) that are interested in purchasing or building their own computer, I thought that a thread like this would really help. Simply post the average FPS that you get (make sure to mention what settings and render distance you use) on vanilla Minecraft along with your computer specifications. Also make sure to specify whether or not you use Optifine. Hopefully this will allow other users to get a glimpse into what a part combination similar to yours would provide in terms of Minecraft FPS. Thanks.

I hit about 500FPS on maxed out, but I like to have it capped at 60 with advanced open GL off to get the smoothest chunk loading, as more of the power is being allocated to that rather than rendering more that doesn't need to be.

Specs
AMD FX 6300 OC'd to 4.2Ghz
Cooler Master 212 Evo CPU Cooler
8GB DDR3 Ram
EVGA Nvida GTX 660 2GB
128GB Samsung SSD
1TB Western Digital HDD
2 External 2TB Drives

I back up a lot of Data, I built it myself and all that good stuff.

Thanks. I really wish there was a way to custom build laptops but I'm pretty sure it's almost impossible at the moment, especially for a computer building newbie.

There is no way you're pulling 2250 FPS on a GTX 750 Ti. And I don't think that the slight performance increase that the 4820K has over a 4770K is enough for a ~1500 FPS difference.

Also can someone with computer knowledge please let me know if this is possible:
Can you buy a laptop with an HDD drive and then buy an external SSD and connect it to the laptop and make it act like an internal SSD (like setting it up so that the OS boots from the SD, etc.)? Thanks.

And no, I don't think so. You'd have to plug it up inside and have cords running out, which I wouldn't do.

Dell inspiron 7720 se (i7 QM, GT650m, 8 GB Ram [1800], 1 TB hard drive [no ssd], on FHD) for cooling i use a coolermaster pad.

Vanillia is around 110 maxed setting (no v-sync), but with heavy lagg spikes. Only optifine is 150 on FHD everything max (no v-sync). Optifine and shaders 90-120 with everything max (no sync).

With v-sync its around -40 from these.

I7-790? I7-4770k? OC? Nothing that you posted make sense...
64GB is very unlikly. What kind of board do you have? not alot of I7 on standard boards support 64gb and is it quad channel? Please don't lie, just don't post...

You barely provide any specs so I suspect you didn't build your computer. Also what person has 64 gbs of RAM yet has a r9 290x? Your computer is out of proportion.

The 290x isn't that impressive for 4k, it actually can't play Bf4 on ultra with even 40 fps.

Intel i7 processor, that doesn't tell me much.

Also, fps can't burn your monitor, it doesn't just show more fps than it's hertz rate.

If you have over 8 gb of ram the ram can't affect your gameplay on Minecraft, having 64gb is useless.

The i7 Series does support 64gb of ram, just need to get a compatible mother board with it... see my specs (well processor and ram)

I have that much ram due to high usage of rendering graphics and animations + multitasking between very ram and cpu heavy applications = easier speeds for things... as my pc is a Work / Gaming hybrid tower of $$$ i upgrade every 4 years lol.

also average FPS with SLI on my graphics cards i get is 400-500 (100 maxed shaders) but doesn't matter as only have a 60hz monitor setup... ALSO think SLI isnt really optimized for MC atm
