Heya PMC, for christmas i'm getting a PC. I need it to be able to run Minecraft with shaders/mods while recording and play other games at solid FPS. Not looking to play too many AAA games (Apart from well.. Black Ops 3 and Infinity Warfare when they come out) Erm, my budget is $650-$750

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/PdYtJV I made this, it's within the budget, there is money for an OS left and you can run shaders/mods with decent FPS w/ recording (Which is 30+, because you don't need more for youtube)

I'd suggest visiting the pcmasterrace reddit, and going to the Builds. There you can find updated PC builds that are much cheaper than your budget and can perform great. I myself will be building the Crusher, found on that website (at /r/PCMasterRace/wiki/builds) and it's about ~$400-500 all said and done. The page also makes ordering the parts easy by linking you to the cheapest site online that sells the part in stock. You can also find guides on putting the PC together, if that is the issue. Definitely consider building as opposed to buying, as you'll get a better computer for less cash.

this is my pc
USD pricing it would be $723.50 if bought from the same sources mine are from
(my pc has an extra 1tb hard drive unlike this list, the case also needs some more fans in it)

you can run those games, well infinite warfare's specs have not been released yet, but it will be able to run BO3 i do believe according to the released specs

I know it can run minecraft @ 60fps with shaders and 150 mods because that's the current modpack i am playing
i also max fallout 4 @ 50-60fps on max settings so i have no problems

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/7FhxYr

as for my pc although i would upgrade that 960 to either a 4gb 960 or a 980 for extra performance, whoever said you need $1000 for a pc is lies, it will go over budget but its a worthwhile upgrade

for a $700 pc you'd want to look at something in that direction, im sure lots of other people who know what they are talking about in this subject on here can give you pointers instead of people who don't know trying to throw you off course, this price is for the pc, it does not include a operating system or monitor, as they will definable bring it up at least another hundred quid

my old i7-960 3.20 ghz thats been hyper threaded works wonders with shaders and recording the only thing i would upgrade is my amd card lol. but that card still packs a punch and gives me 40 frames when recording with shaders at 1080 just work your way up to upgrading in the future hope all goes well

FilipPiLoL your not getting a computer like that for less then 1000

not really you can easy do a decent pc for £550 ($750), you may step over around £20-£30. £50 max but you can do it (this is without an OS)

Mc mods need good cpu with single core performence and you want to run shaders too?? While recording... at 60fps solid!? Boi u need atleast a nice i5over clocked and nothing short of a 960 thoes two parts alone are about 500-600 dollars very little room for a nice motherboard not to mention like 12 gb of ram and a good storage solution, because recording takes up quite a bit of space. Ask mabey a month later when you have more money and we can get results for the new x400 series

Is that a joke? Ignore this guy, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Anyway, you can get a pretty decent gaming laptop within that price range. I doubt it could run Infinite Warfare on max settings but should be fine on lower settings (I think). Minecraft and Black Ops 3 should run well.

Do you know what this guy is asking for? I dont think you read his post right, now OP haven't replied to my question yet so for all we know he might want to record 1080p 60fps sues ultra shaders with a 150 mods, your not getting that for $750

From my understanding it seems he wants to be able to play 3 particular games with "solid fps" while recording. Is that correct? I'm just giving him information on the subject, which is what I believe he is after. Geez!

He has a 8320 with a 270x, lol. I built the system for him, if op want's, I can throw an i5 system together for them pretty cheaply.

If you want cheap and want good performance, go used OP, it's your best bet honestly.

Things wrong with that post:

* RAM is used for multi-tasking, more RAM won't affect how well your computer runs certain games.

* You can buy 1TB of storage for around $40 which is enough to record.

* Minecraft is more CPU intensive than GPU

* Optifine allows you to use multiple cores.

* A i5 wouldn't even need to be overclocked to run minecraft.

* The cost of those parts would be around 300-400 dollars not 500-600.

Edit: also if money is an issue buy a AMD processor.

What are you talking about? You can easily get a PC under 1000 that can run minecraft with shaders/mods.
