Canon EOS 600D vs Nikon D5100 / Canon EOS 60D vs Nikon D7000

What are your thoughts on these two classes and their benefits / drawbacks of these two sets of DSLRs. I know that for some reason that Canons end up with better video quality than the Nikons, but that Nikons have heightened image quality over the Canons. Obviously there are the price differences, but if you put that aside, what can you say about them?

As the 60D and and 600D were released in 2010 and 2011 respectively, and yet have "less" to offer than the 7D, is there really much change in the tech from the 7D?
They all offer 1080p with 24p native support, and in the end, despite my main use for filming over photography, a swivel screen is not going to kill any choice for me. As far as that goes, Canon does sound better for it's video quality, yet how does that vary among the 600D, 60D, and 7D?
Because of certain parameters, I have to purchase from Best Buy (store or online it doesn't matter), though all of these are available there (plus lens packages). As I'm in college, I know that I don't need the absolute best right now (ie EOS 5D MkIII), though one day I would like to get something like that, as it would be useful for a profession.

If I had to get one out of them, I'd get the EOS 60D.
Canon lenses, parts, etc. are cheaper than Nikon, and easier to find, and I also find the video quality better.
I recently purchased a 7D myself, and I'd highly recommend it, but if those four are your choices, go for a 60D
