Just wanna ask... how would Herobrine exist at all? People have poured endlessly through Minecraft's code since 2010, and nothing of the sort has been found. And there isn't an ounce of conclusive evidence anywhere - it utterly fails to perform under experiment. So... how?

I have a theory .
Herobrine was created when minecraft was creepy right ?
I played the minecraft version that was released before herobrine was invented and i gotta say, if you placed a child in front of the screen and let him play old minecraft, the next hour you see him scared of playing minecraft .
So herobrine was probably made by a dumb scared kid on the internet .

If I'm not wrong Herobrine is a creepypasta so I guess someone made a post on a creepypastas page, someone posted it somewhere else and some people thought it was a real thing, then people started making fake herobrine videos, screenshots, etc and now everyone knows who Herobrine is
I did some research and apparently it all started on 4Chan, an anonymous user made a post about a weird user on minecraft's forums that he saw on one of his singleplayer worlds whose username was Herobrine but he didnt have a profile ("When I went to look Herobrine's profile, the page 404'd") and told everything that "happend". In October 30 2010 someone reposted it on creepypasta.com as a creepypasta but idk if the original creator of Herobrine wanted to make other users think Herobrine was real or not, here is a screenshot of the original post (you can also find this image on creepypasta.com):

He is probably fake, and I have proof.
It all started when someone decided to make a nice little story about someone called Hero brine and posted it on a website (I think it was 4chan.)
Then someone saw it and decided to fake Hero brine on his live streams. (Probably just for fun.)
Then Minecraft experts proved that he retextured a door and a painting and for some reason other people decided to make videos proving Hero brine is real, mostly in 2014.
However, someone asked Notch if it is on the game, and he said that he isn't, but he may add it soon. (Which he never did.)
Sorry if I always take it seriously when talking about Hero brine, I'm just trying to tell the truth.

He wasn't removed from the latest version of Minecraft, so I guess he's in it.
