When I heard that Far Cry 3 was "like Skyrim with guns" I just imagined gunning down that guy in Whiterun that preaches about Talos all the time XD

Also, there are many things suggesting you didn't kill him. One is that he is the only boss whose dead body you never see. Also, after you kill him, you see his eyes move towards you.

Far Cry 3 probably would've won game of the year in the VGA's, but it didn't get nominated this year. The only reason being the game only made the cut to be submitted into the competition by 3 days, and they wanted to give the game more time because it's just that good. I'm sure it'll win next year, as I don't foresee any big name titles being released anytime soon (except of course Grant Theft Auto 5).

Personally I like cod bo2 but far cry is still great cuz it's open world but the multiplayer isn't very good on it

Is this even a comparison? Pardon my French, but Far Cry 3 shits all over Black Ops 2. And I don't get why everyone is saying it's like Skyrim with guns. It's nothing like that, and thank goodness it's not.

I love both game series. But I just feel like sharing my view to anyone else reading
I got Far Cry 3 the other day. I have played it for about 10 hours. I have found heaps of things to do. I am level 10 in multiplayer (after playing it for about 5hrs), I love the campaign and how it shows an evolution of Jason from a standard rich kid, who starts of fearing all this, to becoming a warrior and how it changes his life. But one of the endings does contain sexual intercourse on one of the main characters does have breasts showing. So note that. But there's a lot of freedom, from hunting (to upgrade ammo holders, wallets and gun holders, etc.) to picking flowers (to make potions and syringes). There is pirate bases to fight through, there are underground pirate bases which you have to escape with enemies and the place catching fire nearing an explosion. There is literally heaps of really fun stuff.
BOII I haven't got but a lot of my friends did. But from what I can tell is, its like BOI meets MW3. If you like a short story with unmemorable characters and something just with a lot of action then that's good. There is, zombiez, tranzit zombies and (I think) spec. ops which are my favourite parts of CoD. The multiplayer (mainly on Xbox) has an especially large amount of people using hacks, cheats or mods in multiplayer. Although they are found on both ps3 and pc too (I have seen a few on my copy of MW2 on ps3). But the multiplayer is basically the same as every other shooter game with multiplayer, but almost always is slow and annoying to get onto and then it becomes a pain with host migration, lag and such.
But if you want versus multiplayer I reckon FC3 as the game's multiplayer is sleek, fast and player based. It has some nice game modes which I really enjoy and players are at a more even playing field. If you want some nice co-op tranzit zombies, zombies and spec. ops on CoD is better. But if you want a story i reckon FC3 (but do remember there is lots of references to drugs, coarse language sex and sexual acts and there is actual sexual intercourse and nudity).
Overall I think Far Cry is a MUCH better game than CoD as the basis of CoD is getting old now.

Far cry in my opinion is a p1ss about game like SR3, it just seems that way with the free guns and all.
I'm an avid hater of COD but I would say it was a better choice for more of a challenge.

Far Cry 3 takes the cake. I love CoD, don't get me wrong, it's a good game. But Far Cry 3 is open world, you can do so much, play at your own pace and it's just so good :L
However, there are inappropriate scenes in Far Cry 3 (nudity, drug use, profanity). Only get if you are prepared to see that.

You are 10 years old, don't play games like that. Silly boy. Now back on topic, yes far Cry 3 is definitely better, as I said before. There are SO many things to do it has a good 40+ hours in the game, unlike BO2, I finished that campaign in one day and got 4 prestige in the first couple of weeks, it is too easy, I finished playing it last month. Trust me with this one, BO2 is a good game, no doubt about that, but Far Cry 3 definitely shines over it.

Black ops 2 was an ok game. The campaign was amazing, especially for a call of duty game, all though the multiplayer is just MW3 with new guns, and teh green run zombies map is confusing, misleading, frustrating, and a complete failure. On the other hand, I have no experience with Far Cry 3, though X-Play (a gaming show) said "This game will shock even the most dirty minded people." This turned me away from the game, though a lot of people might want it for that reason. Doesn't look like a bad game. If you ask me, get Halo 4 or Borderlands 2, Both games will blow you away.

CoD: Yes pretty good campain and they also have zombies but the amount of trolling and killing people in Multiplayer zombies and regular multiplayer is amazing. Zombies is pretty amazing if you can get past the trolling. Multiplayer can be fun with sticks and stones and one in the chamber and such but watch out for hackers.
Far Cry 3: This has about the same amount of vulgar language in CoD but it does have some nude scenes, but when you beat the campaign you are still allowed on the island to roam and hunt animals and etc. It also has a multiplayer system for you and friends at your house or something or even around the world.

Whats better: singleplayer or multiplayer?
Both are great but singleplayer will probably last longer in playing time. Most Multiplayer games get boring quite quickly.
