All laptop brands in general, include bloatware. It's basically, the manufacturers pre-installed programs. You'll find things such as "HP Games" installed on your laptop when you open the box, but this can usually be un-installed in a matter of minutes through the control panel.

I'd stay away from the "all-in-one" or "tablet" laptops, as they are generally overpriced for the pure hardware you get. Try looking for a laptop with an Intel processor, either i3 or i5 will do the trick for most games. A minimum of 4GB of RAM is also necessary to run everyday tasks, or games.

If you come across a laptop for a good price that includes a graphics card, such as Nvidia or something, by all means buy it. Minecraft doesn't require a graphics card to play at good settings, but if you happen to find a laptop with one, it will stretch an extra mile in terms of performance with gaming.

Hopefully this helped out.

Asus is a great laptop brand which I'm sure has a few cheap ones under 600 which can run mc, I'm not to sure what hardware requirements you need though. I have an 800 dollar asus laptop which can even run games like battlefield and arma 3.

I also like the HP pavilion laptops because they are also relatively small. This means I can take it over to a friends house. This is the reason I want a laptop not a desktop.

To run Minecraft, and basically any Steam game in general on low-medium settings with a respectable amount of FPS, I suggest going for an HP Pavilion. I've had mine for almost 3 years now, and I've not once had any problems with it. It uses an intel i3 processor, with intel hd graphics. Nothing powerful to run any big games, but will get the job done for Minecraft, or Team Fortress types of games.

Should run you between 350-500$ at a local Best Buy, assuming you're living within the USA/Canada.

Would the HP pavilion x360 be a good choice for a HP pavilion laptop?

PS don't buy a computer just to run one game, think about how it's going to last you, how long the life of it will be, what else it can run, because in about a year or whatever, you'll be bored of Minecraft. You need a computer that is going to be used for other things. I mean, you could run minecraft with a good 40FPS on a ruddy netbook, one of those tiny things, so if anything, buy a computer for the specs so that you can run everything else, not just minecraft.

If you choose to upgrade, we could all help you with that. We'd need to know what size your case is, or if you know the model, that'd be great. And also what specs you have right now? Because if your cpu/mobo/ram are good, you could upgrade it for only 175 dollars, and run Minecraft at super high FPS.

^That is the best choice that i would go for. It is a I7 quad core, with a Nvidia GeForce GT 630M. While it is refurbished, it doesn't make it decrease in value, Newegg and sites like Tigerdirect have one of the best success rates on refurbished computers. I have been dealing with newegg and tigerdirect for over 10 years and never have been disappointed. Honestly it always comes down to your budget and research. I will include other laptops in the same price range. but personally, i would go with the first one. it has the best performance.

^second best on my list

Do your research and try to find the best deal. Maybe even try to look on craiglist for the same type of specs.

could be anywhere from $50-$5000, depends on what you get, where you get it, and how much you get.

well get your dad to help you upgrade it. I'm sure he'd rather you upgrade it, than to buy a brand new laptop.

My laptop was about 600, and it runs MC very well. It's called the HP ENVY m4 Entertainment PC. I'm not sure about any other details though.

But really, a custom built PC will be better than buying a laptop, and can be smaller too.

It doesnt take alot to run minecraft. But finding a good laptop for 600 is a bit of a challenge. I suggest looking on Fryes.com and or seeking advice at your local best buy
