Good Reasons for a Zombie Apocalypse
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cordyceps
This, is a very plausible way for the human race to end. A pandemic of (mutated) Cordyceps fungi would be a very effective way to kill us all.
http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Element_115
This, however, is a lot less likely. No (inanimate) substance would be able to sustain a human body after it has died, even Cordyceps can't. It just takes over the host body and forms it's own life.
This topic is open for discussion, however.

A zombie invasion would be one of the most unlikely ways to destroy humanity. Exactly how would one make a disease that turns people into brain-eating, undead monsters? But well, the most likely thing would maybe be nuclear mutation. Radioactive zombies... CREEPY

There is actually some kind of parasite that can take over an ant's brain and control it's movements until it dies. I'm not exactly sure how or how effectively this happens, only that this makes a real life 'human' "zombie" apocalypse far from impossible.
Zombies are impossible because of Rigor mortis.
Well if you have your own generator you can still play stuff... just once the host of the internet fucks up we're doomed to no computers. I wouldn't worry i have a N64 i can bring out and play no problem, i just have to dust it off and rob a pawn store for games. Also if you notice the disease early you can start stockpiling VERY QUICKLY because only about %25-50 of the population will have seen it or heard of it by then.
...Yeah, because playing computer games sure sounds like something people would be concerned about during a zombie apocalypse.
PS. You are aware that computers can actually run without the Internet, right?

Computers?
I would hate a zombie apocalypse. Not only will I lose someone i love (family, maybe friends), but also there would be nothing to do. Just sitting around most of the time. Not only that, I would hate to become a zombie. I
You don't say...
if he didnt want to become a zombie dont just sit there and moan u might be eaten by zombies run away or fight them off
The chemical warfare in the wars.
loljk.
becos zombies r awesum until we r defenseless.

Mad Cow Disease has been evolving very rapidly, and it is plausible that it could mutate and develop the ability to use humans as a host. This (although no exactly The Walking Dead) is probably the most believable way for zombies to evolve at the minute.

Now let's make a Sitcom where God and Beelzebub do just that xD
"Good reasons for a zombie apocalypse" makes me think:
"Nothing to do, ugh"
"Hey, do you want to start a Zombie apocalypse?"
"Why?"
"Because I'm bored out of my mind!"
"I was just gonna watch reruns anyways, sounds like a good reason to me!"
