Hey guys!
So I recently found an old 120 GB harddrive lying around, and decided to hook it up to my computer (all the space I can get, ya know).
After a bit of use, I realized that the hard drive wasn't being detected at all. A quick restart solved it, but it was strange (and a bit worrying).
I put my computer to sleep, go about my day, and then wake it up. After the computer starts up again, I notice that the hard drive pops up, as if it were a USB. It's especially weird, since even that hasn't happened before.
Any help? It's working fine now, but I wanted to know if it was the hard drive, cables, etc.
*EDIT: If I'm not mistaken, its a Seagate Barracuda. Pretty old.

Did you put the HDD IN the computer or put it in a portable HDD case and connect it using USB? If the second, then that's your problem. If the first, then IDK what to say.
Thanks for the link! I'm running Windows 7, so I guess it's just something I have to deal with.
It's an old harddrive. The warranty is probably well over expired.
TheMCBros99Try getting a new one with warranty?

I've done both of those things, but it still happens (first taking it out, and then reformatting).
Try taking the Harddrive out then put it back in that might work
You may have to reformat it. Look it up on Google.
