well depending if you like 3d or 2d i preferrely like 2d because it gives sandbox games a challenge but i like 3d too but it makes it too easy and i agree with azie

I find that Terraria has more content and exploration. Minecraft is more towards building and creative, but still with adventure and survival in it, but has less content than Terraria.

Depends on what you want really.

For what you're paying, Terraria is the better choice, it's always either in a bundle or on sale, normally going for under $3. Minecraft eventually gets very boring, you start getting everything you want, etc. But in Terraria there's always new randomly generated buildings and ACTUAL dungeons you can find and explore. But it's still just choice.

I like Minecraft for PvP since im a pro at it and also building things. And then I like Terraria for mining and survival its more of a challange than minecraft.

Anyways, I switch between the two. I get addicted to Terraria for way longer, though, thanks to the 1.2 update.

I prefer Minecraft. After I've gone through most of Terraria, there isn't anything new to do.

And the guide isn't very useful.

None is better, it is opinion. I prefer terraria, heck I never play Minecraft even.

But seriously, they are completely different, you can't compare them to eachother except they are both sandbox.

Depends on what kind of game you want.

Terraria relies more heavily on dungeon loot, which is why the items don't decay. Why would you want to spend hours looting to find a super rare item if you knew it would eventually break? The game is more focused on exploration than building, so the game devs invested in random encounters and more random gen structures.

Minecraft relies heavily on crafting, so the items decay. Minecraft has a lot more diversity in the amount of things you can build, since it is 3D instead of 2D.

One thing I feel that Terraria has over Minecraft is that the level of gear required for bosses in Terraria is much more attainable than that of Minecraft's Wither or Enderdragon.
