This whole thread in my opinion is very sketchy.

Yeah, my host allows you to set your amount of slots, though more than 80 causes lag, lol.

I would say start small just 3 or 4 people to at least get something done.

• Make a website for the game with information and maybe a donations button.
• Post pictures of what the game will look like, even if they are just sketches.
• Post that you are looking for volunteer coders, artists, etc. to help work on the game.

You realize PMC is not the place to recruit people for a serious gaming proposition. If you seriously want this game made, you need a more knowledgeable crowd and more assurance of pay than "there will be lots of donations" and them getting 99%. There is no guarantee that this game will make money or receive donations for it's creation. Now lets say it is decently successful, even if profits were split evenly that's just 4.35% each. But you said coders get most of the profit, which means that everyone else gets even less than that percent, which is not a good incentive to come work for you unless you are a coder. Go all in, take out a loan and ask the right people. Receive some donations first so you can promise some money up front.

I hope you realize that no one is going to do this for you for free? right? if you want to do it yourself just download a program names game maker of purchase a Maplestory platform template for you guys to build off from me. Lots of people have the idea to make a game but you mainly need money to string all the people together. For me it would take me roughly 24 hours to make a fully RPG Style 2D game with graphics, Charachters, Multiplayer etc. At this time in the world NOTHING IF FREE.

If the other coder can't code that well in C++ it can be something else (I'm just trying to keep the coding language the same one)

Well, I'm doing Ideas, Images, Storyline, Pretty much helping with everything but coding (Which is pretty much everything I know)

Well, If people can do multiple things then it wont need many people (Most of my team does images animations and some do coding)

1. Why does it have to be C++ or is that the only programming language youve heard of?
2. So everyone else does the work but it comes under your game?
3. Why do you need so many people to do different tasks?
I made a sonic the hedgehog clone, I did 5000 lines of code, all graphics all animations all design. Why does this require so many people..?

im not a coder myself, but from what i've heard, most coders wont do work without pay or fame.

I could help but i am only starting in C++ I mostly do java and i think you should swicth the game to being in java it is easier to code in and most computers have it already

Your goal should be to make a game that is similar to Maplestory but better.

Designer would do Ideas and have all the Files to change things (Maybe change damage on a weapon) Also, they can do some pictures or help out with other things (I Mainly just need a Coder)

Also MrComputerGhost, Thats ok if you can code the game just like Maplestory
