[Please Help] Need help uploading vids to youtube.
Hello PMC Community.
So, Let's just cut to the chase here..
I have recently started a new youtube channel.
I made a 12min video, uploaded it, and it took about 5 hours..
So I just recorded another 19 minute video, and it is 10GB... I assume this will take forever.. I want to shorten it.
People have told me to put it into Windows Movie Maker, and it will shorten it, but when I try that either it says, It's corrupted, or it is unreadable.
The format that it is in is .avi ..
I use Fraps to record my videos, all I do is go to the Fraps folder, drag the video to my desktop, and upload.
Thank you in advance for your help..

You should either download camtasia and use the editor off that, but keep using frap its a great game recorder, you can also import the video into handbrake and it will make the file smaller!

I've had the same problem when using Bandicam. Download and install VLC Player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/. Launch it and look in File or Edit for a conversion tool. You simply import your file and convert it to what ever format you need. After that, you could always render it using movie maker in 1080p. Upload is long, since you have a 10 GB file.

Thank you guys for helping. I still haven't figured anything out. I guess my best bet would be to switch software :/

you need to verify your account to upload more then 15 minutes or use a video converter to convert the avi file to mov file or mp4 file if you wanna do that i recommend this one and theres a free version of it and its called MacX HD Video converter PRO its awesome and its for windows and mac

Hmm.. Well AVStoDVD kind of makes in 75% smaller , but that's only for DVD players...
Another thing is to go to your setting on Fraps , and pick which format. For example , Mirillis Action! lets you pick : .AVI , OR , MP4 .
Try messing around with the settings.
If all else fails , try going to : http://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-mp4
and see if that helps. I don't know if that supports files over 5GB, but just try it.

.avi is the WORST for videos. I usually just make MP4 videos , :L
And Fraps actually makes the video TOO big.. 19 minute , 10GB ? Wtf? My 1 hour videos are only 4.5GB.

Exactly man!
Do you have any idea how to fix this?
I think fraps auto-puts it into .avi format.. I want to change it so they don't take up so much space and take SO long to upload! Any help would be appreciated!
