I just use Google. I honestly didn't know about any of these engines until Bing came out with a commercial and when I get results for Yahoo.

I could honestly care less about if Google is taking what I search. I don't search any private information, anyway. And no, it doesn't take away my "freedom" or whatever.

I have used DuckDuckGo for a few months, and honestly I don't think it's necessary. Google comes up with better results and besides even if I did care about Google taking what I search, I don't think they'd choose me over the billion people using it every day.

I dont understand all the fear from google, i dont mind that am getting advertising wich fit my intrests. (even tho you can choose it yourself). In the fact are we getting less annoying advertisements cuz google can sell it for a higher value. Yes i'm one of those who still dont use adblock. The more who useses it, the more ads are we getting.

If somebody are searching stuff wich is so private that no 3rd party firms have to know about it, then will they use a proxy or the Tor browsor anyway. Even tho it still aint 100% private, if "somebody" wanna track you they can always do it, many ISP have to log every 15.000 packet in 30days sent from or to your "Inside Global" address/"Official IP" addres (it's two diffrent things, not everybody have a public ip). And have to log all of them if they are being asked to. In the fact if you dont have a official ip address, will your ISP always log the data comming from your inside global address, wich in this case is natted to a single shared public ip.
Have worked as IT Supporter at a Danish ISP, we can see everything if we want. And info on all devices connected to your private network (unless you have connected another router wich a diffrent subnet ofcourse, then can we only identify devices by the diffrent ports wich are being used for the NAT). Even if we can do it, may we not "spy" them without a reason... The CEO will be "unhappy".

Even if google was all positive intent and I didn't mind them using my data, I'd still use something anonymous so I'd have unbiased search results.

Am I the only one here who has never heard of DuckDuckGo? And I expected Yahoo to be one of the choices… I use Google anyway. Frankly, it's just because it considers everything I do online and makes its search results based around what I'm more likely to pick. If I search "Dark" in Google, the page on Bulbapedia (Pokémon wiki) for Dark-Type comes up higher in the list. Other search engines may do similar, but I've been using Google for so long that it would be inefficient if I switched.

I use Google, but I have a plugin known as Web of Trust for my browser (I use the newly introduced Vivaldi browser) that lets me see how safe a website is based on user reviews. I bring up WOT because it rarely works for me in the other search engines.

Anyone that uses DuckDuckGo is overly paranoid. Google does not care about what you're searching. It has billions of users! Besides, you should have nothing to hide.

I personally think that all other search engines are inferior to Google. It's come such a long way in just the past 10 years (which is when I started using it) that it blows the other engines out of the water. I mean, Yahoo! has amped up it's game, but nothing beats Google.

Judging by the poll options, I think you meant Search engine. The browser is the actual program that lets you visit websites.
